Executive Member – Report to President



• Assist in creating quality theatre for Theatre Aurora productions

• Appoint/Hire Producers for each Theatre Aurora production

• Appoint, Oversee & Assist the Executive Director and Marketing Director

• Responsible for the artistic integrity of Theatre Aurora 



• Responsible for providing an activities report at each Board meeting and is required to be guided by Board decisions

• Shall assume the duties of the President in case of his or her inability to act

• Shall report to the membership at each General Meeting

Specific Tasks:

• Shall chose producers for the upcoming season

• Shall act in an advisory capacity to producers and will schedule auditions, call-backs, rehearsals into the Theatre Aurora calendar

• Work with community partners and producers to schedule off-site rehearsal space

• Working with the VP Finance, is responsible for creating a budget with each producer and once finalized, presented to the board

• Shall be the member through whom a producer approaches the Board

• Meet with the producers to ensure that production guidelines are followed

• Assist the producer with any problems that arise and assist in finding skilled production crew

• Contact with ACT-CO as group liaison - correspondence re. festival entries application and payment, post-festival reports

• Responsible for Theatre Ontario liaison as it relates to Theatre Ontario for the education of the membership

• Coordinate participation in the Doors Open Aurora

Skills/Experience Preferred:

• Prior Board Experience would be an asset.
