Fall Program

Youth will learn about different theatrical and acting forms and styles through games, activities, and performances. Youth will learn about movement, voice, character development, and technical design through a series of one or two day workshops. Youth will be able to make connections between the different elements that make up theatre production. These will be a combination of workshops chosen by the directors, as well as ones chosen based on the interest of the youth members. The final session will be a showcase performance where youth will perform improved versions of one or more pieces they worked on during the session.

Winter Program

In the Winter, the Theatre Kids will be working on William Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. Youth members will get to work on an abridged version of the Shakespeare play by using developing and new skills, working with designers on costumes, props, set and tech. The program concludes with two performances on Theatre Aurora's stage in June!
