Synopsis:

Six young people in the throes of puberty, overseen by grown-ups who barely managed to escape childhood themselves, learn that winning isn’t everything and that losing doesn’t necessarily make you a loser. This hilarious tale of overachievers’ angst chronicles the experience of six adolescent outsiders vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime. With three audience “volunteers” also competing in the bee, this musical is sure to have audiences in S-T-I-T-C-H-E-S and reminiscing about the woes of being 12 years old.

Composer-lyricist William Finn and book writer Rachel Sheinkin's

winsome and winning new musical is so generously

warm-hearted, only the most bitter misanthrope could resist its charms.
