| Playwrights of Spring |
The Playwrights of Spring is a Festival for new playwrights being presented by Theatre Aurora. The Festival shows run from 3 - 19 April 2008, with a Gala on both opening night and closing night. This is a fine opportunity to see fresh new work, and support new playwrights. Tickets are now available for our Festival Galas and shows ! Group packages are available. 'A Rustling' by Dalene Flannigan 'Midnight Rubes' by Ron Fromstein 'Connections' by Carol Libman 'Naked In The Kitchen' by Lynda Martens 'A Rustling' is a full-length play and runs April 3, 5, 11, 13, 16, & 18 Here is a link to an article, written by Dalene Flannigan, explaining the background behind this play (Article Copywright 2007 Canada's National History Society) The Rustling - Historical background The other winning plays are all shorter, just one act each, and will be presented together, in the order :- 'Midnight Rubes' then 'Connections' then 'Naked In The Kitchen', and these will be presented on April 4, 6, 10, 12, 17 & 19.
