Theatre Aurora Youth Group

Purpose
To provide education and training in all aspects and discipline of the theatre for youth between the ages of 7 and 18, utilizing internal resources from the adult membership. All aspects of the Theatre Aurora Youth Group, including overall operations, policies, guidelines and membership, are under the auspices of Theatre Aurora Board of Directors.

Goal
To use the training and knowledge gained over the season to mount a production.

A public performance for the Young Company. The dates of this performance will be at the discretion of the Board of Directors in conjunction with the Youth Group Leaders.
A green room or private performance for the Intermediate and/or Junior Groups. The dates of this performance will be at the discretion of the Youth Group Leaders.
A public performance may be approved for the Intermediate and/or Junior Groups by the Board of Directors. Admission for this public performance will be at the discretion of the Board of Directors in conjunction with the Youth Group Leaders.

Structure
There shall be three distinct learning stages with the flexibility for members to move within the three stages at the discretion of the Youth Group Leaders. A child must be within the age group as at December 31 of said year in order to be considered for one of the following stages. These stages are used as a guideline only and do not promise movement from one to another stage based on age alone.

Young Company	Ages 14 to 18
Intermediate	Ages 10 to 13
Junior	Ages 7 to 9

Each of the above age ranges will be considered as a separate unit within the Youth Group and therefore will require a minimum of two qualified adult volunteers from the general membership to act as leaders and coordinators for each of the three groups.

In the event that there are no volunteers for a particular age group for a given year, it will be understood that no group will be created for that year until qualified volunteers are available.
